OVERVIEW

This project was created for DJ Zaalek as part of a visual campaign for his live performance at Canot’Club.
The goal was to design a poster that captured both the artist’s identity and the atmosphere of his musical universe.
The visuals needed to exist across different mediums, from print to digital, while keeping the same energy and clarity.

The idea was to merge the aesthetics of modern club visuals with the expressive codes of the 70s rock scene that inspire the artist.

CREATIVE APPROACH

I worked from Zaalek’s visual DNA, blending his current image with a retro rock influence.
The composition centers on his portrait, set in a warm and authentic environment that feels close to his personality.
Typography and textures were inspired by 70s poster art, using bold shapes, organic imperfections and saturated colors to evoke that era’s energy.

The layout was designed for two main versions: a print poster and a vertical digital format for Instagram stories.
Both share the same graphic language while adapting naturally to their respective platforms.

VISUAL SYSTEM AND PROCESS

The direction combined photo editing, typography design and composition work.
The color palette mixes deep blacks, textured reds and warm tones to build a visual rhythm that feels dynamic and grounded.
Photoshop was used for composition, lighting adjustments and texture integration, while Illustrator handled typography and framing details.

Every detail was adjusted to keep the focus on the artist while expressing the spirit of his music, raw and rhythmic.
The final export was optimized for both high-quality print and social media formats.

PROJECT ESSENCE

This project was about creating a poster that feels true to DJ Zaalek.
It highlights his energy and character while paying tribute to the rock and funk aesthetics he draws from.
The result is a bold and cohesive visual identity that translates smoothly across platforms and stays faithful to the artist’s world.
