OVERVIEW

This project is a visual reinterpretation of Byredo’s fragrance Super Cedar.
The goal was to translate its sensory universe, the warmth of wood, the clarity of air and the emotional weight of memory, into a coherent set of campaign-ready images.

Rather than representing the perfume literally, I wanted to explore what it evokes: structure, calmness and a refined sense of nature.
The intention was to create visuals that could live in multiple formats while remaining faithful to Byredo’s poetic minimalism and balance between emotion and design.

CREATIVE APPROACH

I approached Super Cedar as a complete atmosphere rather than an object.
The creative process began with an in-depth moodboard built in Figma, collecting textures, materials, lighting moods and architectural references.
From this foundation, I developed six conceptual axes: Nature, Sauvage, Light, Structure, Textures and Design, to guide the project’s visual direction.

Each image was built as a scene, part of a larger narrative exploring presence, stillness and memory.
The result is a system of images that feel contemplative, cinematic and timeless, while remaining anchored in Byredo’s visual DNA.

VISUAL SYSTEM AND PROCESS

The project was structured as a visual triptych.
Each scene represents a different state of the fragrance, blending symbolism and emotional tone.

Scene I - Super Cedar

Sculpting a fragrance into a visual moment.
We imagined the feeling of a cedar forest at dawn: its textures, stillness and slow light.
The bottle is smoothly highlighted; it belongs to the scene. It breathes with it.
A visual experience that echoes the soul of the scent, emotional, subtle and natural.

Scene II - The Guardian

Between presence and stillness.
A posture, both gentle and firm, anchors the frame.
The figure is not the subject; she becomes part of the balance, standing between the human and the natural.
This scene explores presence as a quiet form of strength, where beauty is not shown but felt.

Scene III - The Room

A quiet desk, a rainy window, a pencil left behind.
It brings back the scent of a moment long gone, the sound of rain, the smell of wet wood, something intimate like the pages of an old notebook.
This scene turns scent into memory : still, melancholic, deeply human.

Each scene was created in Blender and refined in Photoshop to craft a cinematic sense of light and tactility.
Textures were built from bark, stone and mist, blending the natural with the architectural.
Lighting was used as narrative language, translating scent into atmosphere.

PROJECT ESSENCE

Super Cedar is about clarity, atmosphere and structure.
A dialogue between instinct and precision, where light becomes the language of scent.
The visuals capture Byredo’s refined identity while reflecting my own pursuit of calm intensity, balance and quiet emotion.
Each scene stands as a fragment of that vision.
